Uniform – Pakuranga Heights School

At Pakuranga Heights we have a smart, comfortable uniform which is compulsory for all students. The uniform has a unisex polo top and a polar fleece or sports jacket with a combination of:

Girls: skorts or culottes
Boys: shorts or trousers

All children must wear a school sunhat when they are outside during term 1 and term 4. The school uniform can be ordered online on the link below and have it delivered to your home. Delivery is expected within five working days for standard items. The school recommends ordering online at least two weeks prior to your child starting school at Pakuranga Heights School to ensure your child has the uniform in time before their first day. The culottes and the school jacket are not available online but can be purchased from the uniform shop (see below for opening hours). School bucket hats, caps and socks can also be purchased at the school office all year round during normal school hours. Students are permitted to wear a navy blue, long sleeved garment or navy tights underneath their uniform if they have strong religious beliefs or customs which require it.

Sports Uniform

Our sports uniform is not compulsory however we require students to wear a tshirt of their house colour on school sports days.

Footwear

During summer months students are expected to wear plain black sandals without socks. In the winter months students must wear plain black shoes with the navy socks available at the school office. These socks are not available online and must be purchased from the school office.

Stockings/tights

Girls may wear navy blue stockings or tights underneath their skort or culottes in the winter months only. Leggings are not permitted.

Hair ties

Students are encouraged to wear plain hair ties that are the same colour as their hair. If students choose to wear scrunchy-type hair ties or headbands they must be navy blue or red.

Uniform shop

A sample of each size is held at the uniform shop for you to try on if you wish. Our uniform shop is located near the school office and is open during term time only at the following times:

Monday 8:00am – 9:00am
Wednesday 3:00pm – 4:00pm
Public and school holidays – closed

*Bucket hats, school caps and socks can be purchased from the school office all year round during office hours Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm.
